Whats your opinion of NeroRecode 2.1.2.0 's quality ???

I just downloaded Nero 6.3.1.6 and NeroRecode 2.1.2.0 and also the
Mpeg2 DVD Plugin.

Tested PAL "Cabin Fever" movie only (3.9 gig approx) and compressed
it by 52% down to approx 1.9 gig....

Used "Advanced Analise" and i reckon the quality is near prefect.

Anybody tried these versions ? and what did you think of the quality ??

I did 60% and I perfered IV DVD COpy 2 plat (but it did have some artifacts but was clear more detailed overall), then Recode 2, then CloneDVD 2.

I realy doubt it looks good at 52 % compression...even with deep analysis...unless you are watching it on GameBoy screen.

My experiance is than NONE of currently available transcoders is gonna give you descent results if you go below 70 %.

I have just made a test with Matrix Revolutions (PAL) using Instant Copy 8, Intervideo, DVD2one, DVDShrink, Nero Recode 2, and they all gave me very unpleasent results. Only DVDRebuilder gave me almost exact copy of the original but this program is still in beta stage and not TRANSCODER like others, so i guess it doesn't count.
