    hi

    after installation latest ffdshow wmp9 is crashing if i will try to play some avi or whatever...

    can i have installed xvid rc3,divx 5 and ffdshow together?

    why this is happening? if i uninstall ffdshow everything is fine but i need ffdshow for some movies to play...

    any help appreciated..

    PS after installing ffdshow GSpot does not see ffdshow? why?

    You have a couple of options. You could uninstall FFDSHOW and find an older version and install that, or you could go to the FFDSHOW configuration utility and disable decoding of Divx and Xvid files. You can find the utility in your start menu programs group. I have no idea why G-spot doesn't recognize FFDSHOW.

    disable xvid a divx files is not option...that is why i want to install it...
    but i do not think this is core of problem...
    because only wmp9 is crashing not bsplayer for example. why bsp is not crashing too?....so where can be a problem in winmediaplayer9 i guess?

    If you insist on keeping FFDSHOW then install an earlier version. This is the one that I use:

    thanks i found it...
    this old version does not do any problem...even in wmp9...
    and Gspot can see it.....super....
    so as i can see new versions of ffdshow is for nothing...
