Ive searched the site and noticed that 1 forum stated the car that you own but not the one u fantisize with when your taking the bus to work....
ps... please don't flame other posters or say that Imports are crap compared to Domestic or vice versa. Also dont say that car "X" is the BEST EVER MADE !, that is not what this is about...

    Anyway.. to get started;

    My favorite are..

    2002 Nissan Skyline R34 NUR
    ' 97 Toyota Supra TT
    Mercedes SLR Mclaren
    Ferrari Enzo
'67 Shelby GT500 Black with two white stripes going down the middle
( the one at the 2004 Barret Jackson auction)

New Cars (concepts) I don't like:

The New Skyline R35 thats going to be sold in the states...
Personally its just ugly to me and its not going to include the same RB26DETT engine that made 800 - 1000 hp easily without any major engine mods..

its only a import depending on which country you live in.. plus now, every car produced is somewhat global in makeup ... except for some korean cars which are over 90%

    couple of fav's

    Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VII WRC2

    Porsche 911 Carrera RSR 2.8

i had one of these tuned to EVO III (116hp per liter non turbo charged!), best car still to this day for shear driving, i wish bmw still made it as is , instead of the heavy newer 8cyl models now produced..

but if you want one of the newer m3's -- cant beat the BMW E46 M3 GTR Strassenversion version (M3 GTR street version) , though its $229,000 in North America for the GTR model.

My uncle use to own a '82 Delorian. Expensive car to own.

    My favorite cars:

    Morgan Aero 8

    Panoz Roadster

  6. HSV Coupe GTO - the original Australian design, not the fucked up American version.

Ford F6 Typhoon - so easy to make it 600rwhp+ for under $10,000.

1957 Chevy Corvette - been for a ride in one once and although it didnt have any of the modern features or wasn't the fastest car on the road it beat all the other cars on the road in terms of style and the looks it got.

Porsche GT3 - Supercar Material right there.

Tuscan S - Like the one in Swordfish. Great looking car but the build quality is the shits.

Those are the ones I can think of at the moment.

    you know what I meant...

cut me some slack...I'm stressed out today. Came home, computer gives me this error -

"System Intruded, Chassis opened or Tempered before. Please check system"

system won't boot, it posts then goes to BIOS with this message. Problem is, I built this PC, there are no chassis switches on the box to even know if the cover is loose...matter of fact, there hasn't been sides on the box since...ever...

can't access internet to research...only research was in my own brain, anyway after searching the vast empty spaces...finally figured it out...jumper on MoBo had corroded, came loose, whatever...I replaced the jumper and it worked just fine.

Which is better than the 3 computer businesses I called who told me my MoBo was bad, my BIOS had a virus, and "never heard of that...bring it in and we'll take a look at it."

Just got it up and running and came here to relax and unwind...

Best cars I have ever owned:
    1978 Ford F-150 4x4
1980 Ford Fiesta (bought it brand new...sold it with 104 thousand miles...original clutch(original everything really)...it broke down once. It was a $4.95 fuel filter.
1983 VW Rabbit diesel AUTOMATIC....yes...automatic. Yugo's passed me but it went 178 thousand miles with ZERO maintainence...used and abused.
    1985 VW Scirocco
    1985 Toyota Supra
    1993 Toyota Celica GT(still own)

    Worst cars I've ever owned:
1984 Ford Tempo - a complete and total disaster car. The 5-speed ones were great(my brother STILL has one)..the automatics(mine) were junk. And it wasn't the transmission that was bad...it was the engines. Shame really...a 2.3 liter should be more than enough power to run that car...but they kept blowing up as if it was a 2.3 in a full size car....weird.

(2)1983 New Stanton , Pa. made VW Rabbits(gasoline models). Not REAL bad cars...just lousy paint and some annoying hardware issues.

1985 New Stanton VW Golf GTI...again....not REAL bad. It was black and the paint REALLY sucked on that one. Some more annoying little hardware issues like door handles, window cranks...nothing major.

    1979 Plymouth Horizon(bought brand new)...2 starters and 3 flywheels later...SOLD.

  16. I'd love to own a Lister Storm V12:

Craig - Nice choice with the Phantom. That car is a masterpiece.

If I want to go fast I'd prefer to have a nice, big 7-litre V12 as opposed to a smaller engine with turbochargers on it. Imagine the pleasure it could give you, as you start it up and see people jump with fright!

And, of couse, it's British! 8)

  24. Squirreldip,

The RX8 is a really nice car - I'd love to have a car that is that powerful, but only has a 1.3 litre engine!

This 1.3 litre, twin bank, rotary engine is a mechanical sensation, so no wonder it won the international engine of the year award earliar this year. Mazda has been dominant in the rotary engine world since the sixties and remains true to the cause with the RX8.

With only a 1.3 engine, I suppose it would qualify for the cheap UK car tax bracket also, even though these things are pretty thirsty. Never been quite sure how they calculate the capacity of a rotary engine.

the RX8 looks like a great car though the weight has increased to a hefty 1400kg about ... not to bad though ..

i had a rx7 and it was great car and ultra reliable -- you still lots of 80's rx7 first generation cars around ... the rotary is a very reliable engine (hardly any moving parts) ..

the new rx8 -- 238hp without a turbo ..amaizing .. i bet there is one with a turbo down the road .. 9000rpm redline

and the price is even better ...

  29. Regarding the link I just posted, I think I need to clear somethings up. That site is about this mans ordeal after purchasing an Audi TT. He had it for a few months, then a myriad of electrical problems occured. He took it to the dealership but they would not give him a refund for the car being a lemon (see Lemon laws). Its a pretty interesting story. He has since refused to pay for the vehicle.
