Here is a pic of the world's fastest car... The Dauer 962 LM ( its a 3 liter, Flat 6 Twin Turbo, Quad Cam pumping around 730 HP...
And has a max speed of 250MPH....

Is this the fastest standard production car?? That Callaway Sledgehammer I showed earlier hit 254mph.....making it the fastest street legal car. Twin Turbo V8 putting out 880hp.

    Chrysler ME Four-Twelve

The ME Four-Twelve has an engine—and then some. From AMG comes a 6.0-liter V-12, with a race-car-style dry-sump lubrication system and four turbochargers blowing 20 psi of boost, mounted just behind the two seats. This engine, a pumped-up and reengineered version of the twin-turbo V-12 from the Mercedes-Benz CL65 AMG, makes 850 horsepower at 5750 rpm and 850 pound-feet of torque anywhere between 2500 and 4500 rpm. (Get the name now? Mid-engined, four turbos, twelve cylinders—ME Four-Twelve.) The engine was the one given in the early design of the ME. The rest of the car was designed around it to achieve the company's performance targets

No offense, but ricers never could give me wood like good ole American muscle cars. I think it looks like a Japped-out Impala :P

Now that ME-Four-Twelve gets the genitalia stirring

Instead of the R35 I think I'd opt for the General Lee (assuming I can't cough up the $275,000 and buy the '70 Hemi Cuda) or even go British and opt for Hootie's Triumph. Very clean car by the way

  9. Personally, I would love to own a Subura Baja Sport. I've been told by many many friends that it's one of the ugliest cars available, but I like it.

Them concept cars are pretty to look at and do impressive speeds but what's the use of owning a car that can't do the speeds due to speed limits? Anyhow, that's my two coupons worth.

1st... yes the Sledgehammer is only 1
The Mclaren is not longer the fastest car...
The Dauer was at 250mph but alas the speed is not official.
The Veryon was capped at 218 mph because of instability at higher speeds.. ( imagine doing a weight reduction with out the capp... 300? anybody?)

and third, the Enzo... i think its 209 MPH officially

But I still prefere skylines and porches...
Top fuel dragsters can do those speeds pretty easily...

THATS THE R35!?!?!? What the hell is that?! DISGUSTING!! R34 or R32 any day... I thought it was gonna look somethinkg like the infiniti (division of nissan) G35 we have in usa

Yes but remember.. that those engines blow up about 1/2 of the time because of the compression pressure..

Also.. in Nascar (which i think is a boring race...) u dont change the engine as much as Top Fuel.. but u do none the less...
But I dont watch NASCAR... i would rather watch the WRC or the Le Mans 24 hours or even Pikes Peak racing...

haha , i sarted early , the first one i owned there (a '65 olds 88 ) bought when i was almost 15, and started driving when i was 14 (really 13 , but dont tell my parents) .. 15 was legal back then..

worse car there i owned -- simple , the TR7 , piece of total crap except for the nice paint job.... i rewired the entire electrical system on that thing , then it blew the head gasket soon after, which warped the head and badly scored the walls and caused a crack on the ex. header-- just planed the head down so that the pistons almost just cleared (a little extra grinding) , bolted it back togther along with some aftermarket cheap headers and sold it far from home... it also had no brakes - which totaly went away while getting engine repaired...

also blew the head gaskets on the Gordini (but wasn't to expensive or hard to fix that one (it also used replaceabble sleeves) and the Sonnet III (i was getting real unfond of aluim. heads) and later even the impala (i really abused it -- took it through the woods a lot)..

best older car for jumping (remember those little hills at older drive-in movie theaters?) - coronet 440 sw, hands down , with its torsion bar suspension .. it also had remarkable ability to do drift turns at very high rates of speed as well as unbeliavable traction in the snow when full of us kids going skiing - only once at about 110 mph do i remember anyone looking for seatbelts when I got a little little sideways on the highway I75 when driving on snow/ice but pulled it back in line 8)

i got so many stories (including several that could get me arrested or are XXX rated) .. could go on and on , but not really the place for it on a dvd forum (to bad we didnt have dvd's or even vhs back then !)

"Dazed and Confused (1993)" really was pretty close to the truth ...

BJ_M....Either I envy you, or your my car hero...
no one.. and i mean no one... that I know, owned more cars than you..

Ive only had 2 cars and like 75,000 saved in the bank for a r34 but then they canned the car... (been saving since '95, and that was in my early teens)..sucks doesnt it..

well the two cars that i had was a Shelby GT500, forgot the year but I think it was 69.. found it in a scrap yard. And a Toyota Supra '97 given to me by my uncle... which I sold late 2003 for the cash to get an R34..but then i found out that they stoped making it !...
so now im ridding a bus.. which isnt that bad but when they do make the new or if they actually continue with the R34 (because the R35 is soo ugly.. they might go back) I will buy it..

by the way... do u still have that ford? the one with the mud?

no - don't have the ford 4x4 which i would have sold around '77-'78 after rolling it (keep in mind these are pics i found off the net which are the correct year and model and general appearance of what i had (www is a great thing,) not the real ones i owned, many of which i don't even have one picture of -- like the bimmers, oddly enough, never was one much for taking pics of MY stuff, in fact the entire 10 years of movies of my kids is on just one hi8 tape ) ..

i also started out maybe a little before what you may think .. like driving in the late 60's .. so i had a few years there to collect all these .

Yeah ive visited that site... but no R34... and I hate the look of the r32 and plus the brake discs may explode cause of the heat.
the r33, has syncro problems with the 3rd and 5th gear and plus the look isnt as pleasing as an r34..
