hi
My player is kinda picky with cheap media/labels, but I decided to test the labels with labeled Riteks and VOILÁ. it magically works!
BUT my wonder is: since these disks I've burned are white-faced on top, if I choose to write on a silver-faced disc on top...would it start skipping again (if I put some labels)??? I mean, maybe this "printable face" is label-friendy cause it protects from reflection or something...
any guesses?

Try one....
I don't suggest adhesive labels on any DVD recordable media. It can cause excessive wobble and heat issues in you player. Mine played terrible toward the outside (end) with labels...removed them and all okay.
Some may add that it may decrease the livespan of the disk due to the chemicals in the adhesive. I'm not sure that's proven yet, though. If it's true, I'd assume that printable media may be more susceptible.
You may have better luck...sacrifice a couple, that's about the only way you're going to find out.
