  1. Hello fellas,
I have this old TV that has only the coaxial cable connector on the back and in front it has two jacks that are like the ones used for headphones ( i dont know the name of this jack) that one is for video in and the other one is for audio in.
I bought this DVD player that i am trying to hook up to the TV but I am going to have to use something like the Terk Mini that is a RF modulator that converts rca to coaxial for TV's that have no RCA connectors:

Is there any other way to do this w/o buying this Terk modulator/switch?

    Thanks

If you are absolutely sure those are video/audio in, you can just get a couple of adapters for male 1/8" mini plug to male RCA phono plug. There would likely also be a changeover switch somewhere on the set. Make sure you get the mono versions. It's a fairly common adapter, electronic or stereo stores should carry it.

Get something like this for the video:

And something like this for the audio (assuming the TV is mono):
    http://www.radioshack.com/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=CTLG&category%5Fname=CTLG%5F007%5...5Fid=274%2D889

If the TV is stereo then get this audio connector instead:
    http://www.radioshack.com/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=CTLG&category%5Fname=CTLG%5F007%5...5Fid=274%2D883

Only difference is that it has 2 stripes on the mini connector instead of 1.

The pics are a little distorted (stretched vertically) so be careful.

  4. you could also try a RF Modulator. You can connect the DVD to the RFM via RCA jacks(Video, left and right audio) then connect the RFM to your TV via coax.
Here is an example at radio shack:

    Hope this helps
