Hi. I am burning a VCD. I have added 3 MPEGs to the burn list and together, they add up to be around 807MB. I'm not sure what the size is when you add Nero's overhead data. Anyway, I clicked Write like always and it told me it cannot fit onto my CD-R. I am using the 700MB 80 minute CD-R. How do I enable overburning? I already selected it in Expert Features and there is no prompt for me to overburn. Does overburning only work in disk-at-once/96?

Can anyone explain these to me :

    Track at once
    Disk at once
    Disk at once/96

That's what I selected, yet it gave me no prompt to overburn. It just said that my disc does not have enough space. Maybe the length is too long? I haven't checked though. I'm converting it again at a lower bitrate. Hopefully it will work this time.

I know you said you were burning VCDs...but...

I cannot get my Cendyne DVR 105 (same as Pioneer A05) to "overburn" CDRs using anything...always tells me that the size is too big

    just a thought

  5. DAO = Disk at once (the laser is never turned off while writing)
This allows the leadout track to be burned at the end, allowing
you to overburn in many cases.

Track at Once = Laser is turned off which leaves a micro gap
between tracks - only an issue if recording CDDA and you do
no want a 2 sec silent gap between music tracks.

DAO/96 = DAO + 96 Bytes P-W Subchannel Data. Writes all subchannel information like ISRC, Catalog Numbers, CD+G, CD+MIDI, Gaps, Indices, Digital Signatures.

Ok. You need a copy of Nero, a copy of DaemonTools and a copy
of CloneCD (trial versions are available for all the above except Daemon Tools which is free)

Install all the above. In Nero, save VCD as an image (.nrg file). Start
Daemon Tools. At taskbar (bottom right) right click on daemon icon and choose mount volume and browse to where you saved the .nrg file. Run clone CD and select copy CD. Choose the "daemon" virtual CD drive you loaded the .nrg file on. Clone CD will now overburn for you.

Nero nor any other program will burn 807Mb's onto a 700MB CDR. In addition to activating overburn in Nero you must have a recorder that also supports overburning. Most importantly you need an 90 or 99 minute CDR to allow burning over 800MB's in mode 2.

Thanks offline...I had tried all of these before...

I have Nero 5.5.9, CloneCD (registered version 4.3.2.2) and tried Daemon Tools before...nothing will allow me to "overburn" with my burner...
