    hello,
    i have premiere open but nothing is in the timeline and there is only one clip in the bin but it is not open but premiere is still using 770MB of my memory. no other programs are open. this is version 6.5. why is it using so much of my memory? that much is only used when premiere is open.

    My experience is that premiere will take as much memory as you got.

    well it just started doing this after yesterday when i added another 512MB of ram into this computer. it also crashes more often now and everything just seems alot more sluggish in it.
