Having been given a free and legal copy of Adobe Premiere Elements 4, I overcame my aversion to everything Adobe and installed it on a 3.06 ghz P4 with XP Home and 512mb of memory.
Ran a few tests and it has got be be one of the most flagrant resource hogs of the computer industry.
I can't see myself using it on a daily or even weekly basis but if I can improve the performance there are jobs it can do for me.
How much memory is enough memory to actually author a two hour movie and not spend a dayswaiting?
It appears that it can use multiple hard disks in the process. How many are appropriate and what should be allocated where for optimal performance?
Should I just unintall it and wait until I upgrade to a 4 core system?
