I am encoding a file with TMPGEnc Plus 2.5 and the file freezes during encoding.
The file is a mepg 2 file and the reason I am recoding the file is because the file will not burn with nero.
I have a mepg 2 file that plays fine on the computer but when I try to burn with nero it craps out.
There is a bad sector or something in the file that causes it to crap out.
When I try to encode it with TMPGEnc plus 2.5 it freezes shortly after starting. I assume that this is where the bad sector is. How do I get around this?

Use the Source Range function to start encoding past the corrupted spot to the end.

Use the Merge & Cut function in TMPGEnc Plus. You can edit and join any part of the original video.
Hello. -
When I cut out the selected range (the currupt frames) the file will not encode past the starting point of the cut.
Still determined to get it done.
Thanks for your help. -
With Merge & Cut, you are not cutting anything. You are using only the parts you want to keep.
