Kudos to Pinnacle on update of Studio 8

Pinnacle Systems has just released version 8.12.7 of Pinnacle Studio. I know a lot of people are Pinnacle bashers, but it is nice to know that some companies update older versions of existing software even after they have released a newer version..ie: Version 9. In fact, most of the fixes from version 9 have been included in the update to studio 8, at no cost to version 8 owners.

Thank Pinnacle for giving me a piece of crud in version 8, then turn around and release version 9, charging current users for the upgrade, THEN go back and put those same fixes into version 8....

I'm glad I didn't purchase the 'upgrade' to 9 back when they were offering it at a discount... it appears to be a ripoff now that they "patched" version 8 with 'the same fixes' that are in 9....???

When is version 9 being released? I do not see information regarding it on their website.

Version 9 has been out for about 2 months. But in my opinion not worth the upgrade for an amatuer user.
