  1. Hello,

I am using a NEC 1300A DVD+-R drive and i have been backing up movies using DVDShrink. Anywase i've tried my backups on five different DVD players and on four of them they would constantly freeze. What can i do to prevent this? I am using some kind of generic DVD-R media, i bought it in a bulk package. They will only play freeze free on one of my DVD players, is there anyway to reduce the freezing?

    Thanks

like they said try burner at a slower speed. i get the same problem when i burn at 4x with almost all dvdr media. i burn at 2x and 95% of the time they come out fine. and make sure you keep your pc defragmented when doing dvd backups.

    cheers

  11. I live in Brazil and since I`ve started making my backups (last week!!)
Nero Recode proved to be better to make it, then I would burn on DVDCopy!
(don't ask me why, but this combo really works

But today I've made a backup of my Charlies Angels Full Throttle disc, and it freezes somewhere in the beginning of the movie.

Since day 1, I'm using Princo. Is it THAT cheap that makes freezes?

I thought Princo was good...had good experiences with other burnings...

    any ideas?

by the way, how do I change the writing speed on DVDCopy???

    thanx

There's a whole section on DVD media over there <-<-<-.

No, Princo is not regarded as a "good" brand, although many people have no troubles with them.
