hi there
I have never had much problems with Riteks (even with labels), but I tried one yesterday that gave me a lot of headache.
The movie freezes at the begginning and skips chapters at the end...kinda crazy.
Checking the DVD, I've noticed two tiny "darker-purple spots" and a "darker-purple" kinda of "smudge"..or whatever is the word..
It's like there was a bad dying of the thing!!
what does that mean? I got a bad media? How these affect the playing?
thanx

Sure sounds like a media problem. I had some cheap media with lighter smudges that appeared after playing, apparently when the discs warmed up. They were pretty much useless. If you have any unburnt ones, you might try to exchange them. Even good brands may have a few substandard discs.

Lordsmurf mentions this and gives examples on his media page
