Spilting up a avi divx file quckly.

I have a movie thats 824 megs and I'll need to spilt the movie

so taht each file is under 700 megs. Then I can burn the movie

on a 700 meg disc and Then I can watch the movie on my dvd divx player.

The LVD 2001 liteon!


What is the quickest way of spilting this divx movie file?

What if the movie is a Xivx file?

This may not need splitting. 824 meg MPG fits on a 700 MB CD in video mode. This may be this size for a reason, to use the whole CD in video mode.

I'm not 100% sure on getting the AVI onto the disc in video mode or that the liteon will then play it since I don't have one yet, but it's the first thing to look at since it's likely why this file is this size in the first place.
