My standalone DVD player (Phonotrend) has problems. When I power it on, it will continuously
load and stop successively. I never starts to play the DVD. (Perhaps, there exists some problem with
the circuitry ?? )
I need advise if I could fix the problem.

Is it just one DVD or all of them? If just one, the disc maybe dirty - clean it and you'll be fine. If all of them, take it back to the shop. Don't try to fix it yourself - you'll invalidate the waranty even if you know how to do it.

Its a problem with all the dvd's.
The player has completed its warranty period, and I do not want to get it repaired in a shop. Repairing would be as costly as buying a new dvd player.
I would be happy if I could fix the problem myself. -
I've seen some cleaning kits for DVD players in the stores. Maybe that's worth a try.
