    Hi,
I have looked up similar threads on the forum. I am unable to get Subtitles in Media Player Classic, the option is greyed out under both navigate and the subtitles option when right clicking on the playing file. This goes for all file and file types, and i have tried setting the output to both VMR7 and VMR9 renderless.
What am i doing wrong? i have tried installing DirectVobSub and VSfilter to no avail. I am running on XP sp 3 and with Directx 9.0c

  2. Did you close & restart MPC after setting VMR9/7 renderless?

What kind of subtitles? What kind of video?

Are they in the same folder with the same name?

    e.g.
    video.avi
    video.srt

  4. Does the video play normally, but just no subs?

And you said it affects all file types?

What about other players? e.g. kmplayer , vlc , mpchc ?

Yes video plays fine, audio and visual.

Yes, all the file types ive tried playing be it wmv,avi or mkv.
Subtitles works fine in VLC - i havent tried the other players. The only reason i want to use WMC is that i am using the CoreAVC codec for my HD files.

By the way, i have also re installed MPC.
