Hey folks,
I've captured and converted a recorded broadcast from my Tivoto burn it onto DVD. I've done this several times in the past capturing at 720X480 without any problems. However, I'm running into a snafu if I try to capture and convert at 352X480.
I convert the file without incident, but when I try to burn the file to disc in either Sonic MyDVD or in Adobe Encore, the resulting disc plays at 352X480 with blank space on either side instead of resizing to the full screen.
I've done my conversion with CCE, TMPG, and Procoder, and I still get the same results. My tool of choice is CCE, and I've toyed around with the settings, but it seems like nothing I do makes a difference. Is this a conversion problem or a problem with the authoring?
Any suggestions?

Sounds like an authoring problem, or possibly even a problem with your set top DVD player.
Try authoring with TmpGnec DVD Author or DVD Lab. Both have downloadable trials available. If you still have this problem I would blame your standalone DVD player, chcek the disks out on a friends player.
