Okay I'm going insane here! I've searched for answers on the web for 2 days without understanding any of it.

I am creating motion graphics in After Effects, editing them in Final Cut Pro, and then want to make a DVD using iDVD or DVD Studio Pro.

My problems are the resolution. When I output from FCP into iDVD, the pixels are jagged and I have the black lines above and below my mov. Here are the settings I'm using:

    AE - Comp setting - NTSC DV 720 x 480 - pixel aspect ratio: D1/DV NTSC
output: .mov - compression type: animation
FCP - sequence setting: NTSC DV
    output: .mov current settings.

ANY help here would be great. I've posted to a few forums with limited answers. Any good sites for this? Anything easy to understand?

    Thanks, Laurel
(sorry if I posted this twice - don't think the first post showed up)

FCP does not handle aspect (QuickTime is full of awfull automatisms with aspects, so Apple decided to be "safe" and never use its QT's aspect behavior for its own softs ).

(I don't know if your movie is normal or widescreen, my example will be widescreen.)
Open your .mov in QuickTime player, stretch manually the size of the movie to a 16:9 format (eg: 720x405), save it and give it to iMovie -> no more letterbox added by iDVD.
(the impoortant part was: manually )
