    well, what are you planning on using the camcorder for? i personally wouldnt buy this one. becuase it burns on dvd, it makes it a lot harder to edit on a computer. with a minidv camcorder, you can just transfer the dv avi file and edit that. with this one, you have to rip to the computer, then convert to dv avi, edit, and then convert back to dvd to burn. if you dont want to edit the footage, this camcorder is great. the dvd blanks are fairly cheap and play in most players.
