  1. Hievery one! im BiG DOGG and im new in this forum, but know this wonderful website for 2 years!!!!!!

    my question is this: i have AverMedia TV98 Bt-878 Tuner/Capture Card
    and VirtualVCR for capturing. i wnated to know,
    1.Which codec is the best to capture with,
    2.And how do i do a little bit editing of the captured video? (removing logo, cutting commercial, encoding to XviD codec etc.)

    10X for this wonderful site and for you if you'll answer me!!!!!!!!

    (if you have any other xtremely good freeware capture apps to offer me, than it'll be great....)

    Under 'Tools' check out 'codecs'. For high quality, Huffy, for less quality, also less space, PicVideo. You can use Virtualdub to edit and encode to Xvid, I believe.
