Hi All.
With my old Pioneer DVD-Rom, I found a firmware upgrade, that aload me to copy files from a DVD strate to my hard drive.
Is there one for my Pioneer DVR-105?
Thanks For Your Time.

There is a firmware upgrade that will unlock 12x ripping and make the drive region free. But you'll still need to decrypt the files with a ripper. Being able to copy straight from disc to hd might be nice for unencrypted discs but encrypted discs will leave you with unusable files. You can find the firmware upgrade at www.rpc1.com.
Do you remember when TMPGEnc needed an English patch? -
I have tryied a few DVD Ripping programs.
But when i try and rip a dvd it says "Drive Is Locked".
With this upgrade, will i then beable to rip the dvd's? -
You should be able to rip again after the update.

"Drive Is Locked"
Might in use by another program. Have only one program open at a time.
Btw, programs like Anydvd can region & macro free a drive pretty well.
