Anyone ever notice a low audio level after recording on this unit. Seems I have turn up the volume on my reciever more than normal to hear recorded dvd's. I have adjusted the audio input settings on the unit to no avail- talked to Pioneer about this problem and they suggested service. I'm not really interested in shipping the unit all the way to California on my dime. Any adivice would be appreciated. Thanks

In the "initial setup" menu. adjust the audio input level to +3 ... as opposed to the unit's default of 0
That will help .. make further adjustments as necessary for each source input -
That's what I meant when I said I had changed the settings in the unit - I have tried all the way up to +6 db. No real difference that I noticed.

That is odd then ... I definitely notice a difference upon playback of a given recording
How long have you had the unit -
Since X-Mas- I notice it more on recordings from my Sat receiver than my VCR - When I last recorded from my VCR - I was getting the flashing word "over" in the display on the unit. I looked it up in the manual and it states that this message means the audio level input is too high - adjusted that and it's fine.
