Go to their website and add two 50 packs of Memorex DVD+R @ $79.97 each which will temporarily total $159.94 - Add this coupon, 91408733, which is $20.00 off of $75.00 or more. Then add this coupon 95749527, which is buy one get one free coupon as advertised in their flyer.
The grand total: $59.97 for 100 Discs!
I paid $63.46 total because of local tax.
plus you have the option of shipping to your home or picking up at your local store.
Also I think the 20 off coupon gives you free shipping!
I have burned Memorex plenty and have had no problems.

That sounds like a SWEET deal - have you gotten them yet? I would be interested to know whether they are Ricoh or CMC. I may go ahead and order them anyway at that price!
-
By the way, thanks!! I went ahead and placed an order and I'm thinking about placing another order. $64.17 for 100 Memorex discs - damn, that's a good deal regardless of what discs they are!!
-
I havent picked em up yet, but the last 50 i got were not Ricoh, but CMC. Although, I did not get one coaster out of the bunch. I bought them about a month ago, but at Staples, not OfficeDepot. Ill post media code when I pick them up!

i know..its sucks eh..never see such deals in Canada. Futureshop has memorex 25 spindle 4x dvd+r for $39.99. Hardly a deal.
I would still buy from within Canada, as with the excess shipping and customs duty/tax, it pretty much comes to the same thing, with longer shipping times.
Grrr -
Better to go with the +R or -R? is there a better chance the -R may be Ricoh and not CMC? I have read in Media section some people had some problems with the Office Depot +Rs while others had no problem so im thinking about maybe trying the -R's. I also called Office Depot and they said no problem returning to the store from an online purchase.
-
i still have some of those Maxell -R 5pks that Futureshop had on sale for $7.99 i bought 100...guess i should tell them to back the truck up to my house next time
-
Well, I just placed 2 orders - so I'll be getting 200 DVDs in a few days for only $128!! 200 discs ought to last me a LOOOONG time. Now I just hope that these discs don't give me any problems!!
By the way, the Memorex 50 disc spindles that I bought at Best Buy which at the time were about $50 a piece after the instant rebate, were in fact Ricoh. I just hope that the CMC discs from Office Depot don't give me any headaches and cause me to regret my purchase! -
Its funny how people make such a fuss with the CMC discs. I have had absolutely brilliant results with my CMC's. In fact, they burn better than RICOH on my nec ND-2500a.
However, it is well known that the NEC drive loves CMC's of all types. Its like the two were made for each other. Works for me since CMC's are quite cheap.
on the other hand, i cannot burn any kind of Ritek disc without errors. so just goes to show you, dont go with what people report. Go with what works for YOU, as every experience is different and a lot depends on your burner.
Unless you have certain issues with CMC, no reason to diss em or not try them. -
i am the same..i have had excellent results with CMC discs.
i have used over 200 and not 1 coaster.
they aren't as bad as everyone says -

This is about the only deal I've seen in recent memory that has made me even consider a switch from Ritek G04's...I still may not buy any, but it is a sweet deal none the less.
Look, let me explain something. I'm not Mr. Lebowski; you're Mr. Lebowski. I'm the Dude. So that's what you call me. That, or Duder. His Dudeness. Or El Duderino, if, you know, you're not into the whole brevity thing-- -

Regarding the CMC discs that many people seem to be avoiding like the plague - I know it's WAY too early to tell AND my experience is just that - my experience and this may very well not be applicable to anyone else, but so far I'm 15 for 15 using my CMC Memorex DVD+R discs.
Over the last month I've digested an incredible amount on this forum in an effort to educate myself about how to best position myself and my dvd copying for success. One thing that I've clearly learned through all of what I've digested is that, like someone earlier in this thread pointed out, what works for one person may not work for another and vice versa.
It's almost been comical at times because everytime I thought I had something figured out, there would be another camp of people who would argue strongly against what I thought I should do/use. For example, many people swear by Ritek whereas others point out that they aren't as reliable as what many make them out to be. Some stick to using Nero whereas others have pointed to it being the cause of their problems. And the list goes on.
I almost let what many people have said steer me away from the Memorex CMC discs, but then I figured, what the hell, it's an incredible deal and if it works for me, who cares if a lot of others are having trouble with the media.
I've also learned that there are so many factors involved in burning successful dvds and often people make the mistake unknowingly blaming something when it very possibly may not be the culprit of their problems. I almost made that same mistake as person after person told me that my earlier stuttering problems were most likely a media problem. Well, I was using Ricoh discs (I just found out) when I was having those problems. Fortunately for me I didn't throw out my media in search for something else because when I changed a couple of other things in how I copy my dvds, I've gone about 40 for 40 successfully (and that includes using Ricoh Memorex DVD+r media AND CMC Memorex DVD+R media).
Just my 2 cents for whatever it's worth. -

I read somewhere online to buy the one that had a black plastic bottom not grey, but i bought 1 of each and they are both Ricohs. Neither did have the plastic white rings on it, but you couldnt really see inside becasue of a paper inside on top of the spindle anyway. -
OK, I picked em up.
One with a grey spindle is : RICOHJPNR01
One with a black spindle is: RICOHJPNR01
Both Ricoh's! Very pleased -
