Weird one this.

Just bought & installed a Liteon SOHW DVD Writer, installed no problem & foolishly got burning 4 disk without checking.
Upon watching the films they all lost their picture around 15 - 20 minutes in. The sound carried on but even returning to the root menu didn't bring the picture back & the DVDs screensaver didn't show up. The only way out was to turn off & on the standalone.

I've neen using infiniti DVD+R to back up my films, prior to my new liteon I've been using a Maplin £99 DVD Writer (which after around 40 burns decided it didn't want to see DVDs any more thus the new liteon writer)

The disks recorded on my old writer & my new liteon are the same & from the same spindle.
When I play films on the standalone which were recorded by my old writer they work fine but anything recorded on the liteon soon loses it's picture?

Cleaned the standalones heads just in case but as mentioned it plays previously recorded disks fine.

This is all being done on a different PC to when I recorded with my Maplins Writer.
XP, 1 gig RAM, 240 HDD, Liteon is on as Master on Secondary Ide as recommended in the set up booklet.

Can't see the fault being my system as it does burn & play correctly for a while. Lastly I've disabled network connections, shut down anti virus software & all other programmes.

If anyone can suggest anything it would be greatfully appreciated.
Thanks.
