Hi All:
I just read a insert from a article in a dvdrhelp guide and it indicated that the tooLAME vidio encoder is posisably more sooted for TMPGEnc 2.5 than the one being used. The encoder in question was released in March of 2003.
I have the latest version of TMPGEnc 2.5 x x x and I was wondering if tooLAME encoder is still the best encoder to use with TMPGEnc Does anyone know if TMPGEnc 2.5 changed their audio incoder making it better than the tooLAME.
Has anyone out there that has had any experiance with the tooLAME audio encoder. What is your experiance and openion?
Any other information and openions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks:
Barney

tooLame can still be used by the newest TMPG. Most consider it to be the best mpeg audio encoder there is.
To use tooLame with TMPG, goto Option/Environmental Settings/Audio Engine. Choose to use an external encoder. Then let your ears be the judge.
My opinion - CDeX has the best mp2 audio encoder. tooLame is good, but has a problem of not encoding the last frame, or ending it wierd. Causes headaches with Philips VCD Authoring toolkit.
