  1. ok im trying to get small bits of dvd footage of a few movies to advertise my new website that is coming out this fall. i wanna put them all together in sort of a trailer type thing. i dont want to rip the whole movie so is it possible to only rip the part i need and convert that into an avi file?? i know the experts here can point me in the right direction. thanks guys!

  2. Its quite easy to rip by chapter, but smaller than that would need some sort of editing software.

    you can use analog capture.
    as you put it on a website, that quality will be sufficient.

  4. The MPEG2 version of VirtualDub or TMPGEnc will allow you to take clips from DVD videos.

    I find it easier to pull clips using DVDShrink but since you plan on using it on the web (most likely in AVI, MPG or WMV format), you would have to convert the IFO/BUP/VOB structure to a web-friendly format such as these.
