    i capture using AIW 128, with software version 7.1 with the newest driver for Win XP

    so please help

    What you fail to appreciate is that while it may be easier for you to chop every word down to a single syllable, and slap a Z on the end of every other word, we are the ones who have to read it.

    It's simply a matter of courtesy to at least make the effort to spell properly.

    Nobody is going to bust your chops for dicking up a word or two, but when the whole post is laced with deliberate misspellings, that is just plain rude.

    Wow, I somewhat feel that the world of "chatting" has somewhat degraded most of this world's effort to actual spell out each word, using proper punctuation and correct spelling and grammer.

    Anyway, to answer your question (since it hasn't been answered yet), demux means to separate the audio and video from each other into two separate files for further editing or converting. Mux means to put the audio and video back together again to arrive at your final product with both audio and video.
