  1. I would just like an understanding of what will happen before I start burning a finished disc.

I have my main program in 13 chapters and one extra clip which is not part of the program. Ideally I would like the user to have the option of watching either the main show or the extra clip separately, not one after the other. Can this be done?

I know I can add a second track for my extra clip and link to it from the main menu, but will this extra clip play after the main show ends (chapter 13)?

Right now I'm set to have all 13 chapters of the main show on one chapter menu but if all 14 clips will play anyway, I'll split the chapter list into more pages.

    short answer is "NO".

When the first track is done playing the DVD will return to the menu.

as long as the short clip that you don't want played is in a different track...track 2.

  3. Thanks, northcat! I guess the logical follow up question then is can I get those 13 chapters in track one split into more than one chapter listing or must I list all 13 on one screen?

    I don't care if it's split 6 + 6 + 1, 5 + 5 + 3, 7 + 6 or whatever.

  4. You can have anywhere from 1 to 24 buttons per screen. You will have to create your own theme if you want more than six (I think) on a page.

    I should clarify my post...

I would like the user to have the option of watching either the main show or the extra clip separately, not one after the other. Can this be done?
~ yes. Make the one clip track 2.

...but will this extra clip play after the main show ends (chapter 13)?
    No.

and my original post from there.

    sorry if that was confusing.

  6. It worked out great! The program set up Track 1 on multiple pages so I had 4 + 4 + 4 + 2 for the main program. (I miscounted and had 14 clips for this, not 13 - sorry).

The separate clip was put on Track 2 by itself and was seen on a different track menu for one clip. Way cool!
