I read your previous posts and people were being helpful, you just dont want to do any reading and want people to tell you step by step on what to do,in this forum people are here to help with problems that might occur when something goes wrong in the video process that cant be explained right away due to user error.Reading the guides and taking the time to follow up on links is the best bet.

    It's true . I'm one of them

  6. @ tricky trev

From the limited info you have provided, I reckon the reason your DVD wont play on your standalone is probably a media issue.
You haven't said what media you are using, but I will assume as you are new to all this, you just picked up the cheapest spindle. If so, that was your first basic error.
Unlike CDR's DVDR's must be Grade A quality, after all you are taking them out of your PC and expecting a different piece of kit (Standalone player) to read them perfectly.
You might like to try some Ritek disks (not overprints) and see if this resolves your problem.
95% of playback problems are down to cheap media/standalone incompatibility.

One other thought .... are you certain that your standalone can play DVDR's ? ...... not all do. Also have you tried it on another standalone ?

On your original comment .... it's true we were all new to this once(i'm learnin every day), but if you take a bit more time describing your problem, people will take a bit more time replying ..... Dont take it personal m8 .... folk on here are arses (me too), just larf with em'
