  1. I recently brunt over 2000 (almost my entire cd collection) mp3's onto a dvd-r and altho I knew it would'nt work I put it in my standalone dvd player and as you'd expect it did'nt reconise it.. my question is there any software you can put on the dvdr to make it reconise it as mp3's because my standalone dvd player plays mp3's on cd.... just wondering if any one elese has ever tried anything like this
DVD region settings are a joke, I can't believe how stupid people are falling for it

  4. Go with Moviegeek's suggestion, check the compatibility forum first. If the player isn't compatible, it won't matter how you burn it.

Your DVD player may play them as MP3s on a data DVD, as pointed out by rixh. If they don't, there is a workaround but it will take a bit of effort on your part. The idea is to multiplex an image of some description with your audio and actually make video files. This will definitely work on all DVD players that can play burnt DVD movies.

There are a couple of excellent guides here and here and here.
    If in doubt, Google it.
