  1. A simple problem - I hope!

Anyone know why, now I have my shiny new LG4081 multi-writer, that Nero doesn't recognise that the +RW disc in it contains data?

I'm trying to copy the content of the disc from the +RW disc, recorded on a Philips 890 to a -R disc so that can be played on the Panasonic DVDR. In Nero it shows as a Blank Disc! Do I have to format the disc in some way?

I don't fancy copying all the Home vids to -R's via the E50 in real time - took long enough the first time. so any help would be appreciated.

  2. Not sure why, but I have a Philips standalone recorder and I used DVDDecrypter to rip the files and then burn with Nero. No need ot change DVDDecrypter settings just set the folder where you want to save the files and let it rip for 30-40 mins and then use nero express to burn to DVDs. Mind the +'s and -'s some don't work if there not the exact type.

    Good Luck,
    Mare

  3. Tried DVDDecrypter - no difference. It reports the DVD+RW is empty and yet explorer shows the folders and VOB files.

    Anyone have any other ideas?

  4. I copy +RW discs made on a philips recorder with dvdecrypter v3.17. Never had a problem with it not seeing the disc. Check your version and maybe reinstall it.

I also use the "copy disc" function in ulead dvd movie factory 2.

  5. OK - seems to be a media problem. Only 8 DVD+RW's out of 20 are recognised in DVDDecrypter or Nero. However, all the written data and files can be seen in Explorer! Has anyone come across this issue before and did they find a fix for it?
