I have done this several times ,but now audio is out of sync....
Converting a avi(xvid) with ac3 5ch audio to mpeg2 dvdr.
1.Rip out to wav with virtualdub (direct stream copy).
2.Rename to ac3 fix with ac3fix...
3.Then convert the video with TMPGEnc
4.Then load the m2v and ac3 file into DVDLab..
(dvdlab recognize the 5.1 audio in ac3 mode...)
5.author it ...
Even when i play the vobs on my software player the audio is out of sync...shit!!
How can I solve this ....

Isn't there anyone who got sync problems when doing a dvdr with ac3 DD audio from a divx, avi ?
-
May be a silly question but did you check for bad frames ?
-
If the AC3 file was corrupt and you fixed it, that can lead to the sync prob.
You can try to change the delay in the fixed ac3 file, I have used a program called something like AC3 Delay fix. it is in the Tool section.
Hope it helps you!

ac3 delay fix ?? Ok I will try it..
No the ac3 file is not corrupt.
And the video frames are ok.
The thing is that I have done this several times before with no sync problem . But then i didn't use a script in AVI2DVD.
I use lanzcos Rezise and crop 2lines..
If I use the audio file that AVI2DVD produce with the video file, then No sync problem.... But then the audio is only 2ch. So I want to use the ripped out ac3 (5ch)file. -

I have the same problem with DVD-Lab ..
Use TMPgenc DVD Author , and finish with ur problem !! -
Try converting the ac3 file to a wav file using BeSweet. That has always worked for me. Ac3 files are rife with sync problems when demuxed/remuxed and re-authored, or especially when edited. Converting to a WAV soundtrack typically solves the sync issues. If you need to compress the m2v video stream, use ReJig or DVDShrink to compress it by about 5% or so to give you enough space for the WAV file.
You can extract the WAV file either by using VirtualDub and going into STREAM and then SAVE AS -> WAV file, or using TMPGEnc (make sure you have an ac3 DirectShow filter installed) and going into BROWSE, then load the ac3 file into the audio stream, and then do ALT-F then SAVE AS then WAV file.
