PC CD game to DVD?

Hello, I was wondering if its possible to burn a PC game that is 3 Cd's to a DVD and still have it function correctly?

I read somewhere there's a how-to floating around on the net.

you could make images of the cd's and burn them to a dvd and use deamon tools to mount the images and play it that way, I use this method for play MS Flight Sim 2004 works great
