  1. 1st Question
90 % of the Avi's i download Have excellent Quality BUT on the fast Motion scenes it either gets a Streak or it Gets blurry, I know Once Compressed you wont get any better, But When i use Tmg to convert to mpeg, i notice on the still frams as it goes throu the Picture is perfect No blurs or streaks, But yet the Finished Product when played still has the blurs and streaks, Is there Away to eliminate this or not, If i Used 2vpass in tmg and waited the extra 4 hours would this fix that?

    2nd Question

What kind of AVI file are you starting with? If it's something you downloaded somewhere it's probably already an mpeg encoded file (divx, etc). Re-encoding those to vcd/svcd/dvd legal mpeg files will just net you degradation of quality. If it's something you captured with your PC or downloaded (DV) from a camcorder, you're still going to lose quality when you encode it to mpeg. That's just how it goes. You can't compress without losing quality.
