Is there a way to get DVD Architect to stop recompressing or whatever it is doing to my mpeg2 capture or do I need to get a different authoring app?
According to the manual, if the mpeg2 video matches the following criteria, it will not be recompressed or converted again:
Frame Resolution-720x480
Aspect Ratio-4:3 or 16:9
Frame Rate-29.97 fps or 23.976 fps + 2-3 pulldown
Maximum GOP- 36
Max bit rate-9.8 Mbps
No low delay.
I am capturing from Hi8 and vhs @ 352x480. I think during the reconversion, I am losing some video info. Is there a way around this?
(my apologies if this is in the wrong forum. It's not the conversion I question but the practicality of the app doing it and if it's needed.
Thank you
