i have a number of playstation 1 &2 games backed up in file form and consist of upward of 25 files all of the same size file name ie whatever 001 002 etc and with the same file ext which i cannot open in my normal writing software.
can anyone tell me how i can convert these back to the playstation format and write to disc.

use winrar to open the file with the ".001" extension.
and then slap yourself for me because you're a dumbass who doesnt search google for simple answers to simple questions.
(p.s.- i know you downloaded these games illegaly, no one backs up their games spanning archives.. i could see using winrar to compress a disc image to a single file, but not over multiple archives) -
Or you could just read the .nfo that came with the illegal download. Usually they tell what to do in those.
Also take jeex's advice and slap yourself. That is probably the best advice anyone could give you.
