Hi. I recently purchased a Pioneer DV-563A DVD player. I also recently got some burned DVD-R's from a friend of mine. Of them, two will not play on the player. I've tried them both on my DVD-ROM drive and both work. However, I noticed that, while the ones that do play on the Pioneer have basic text menus, the two that don't have menus with text and an icon of the first frame of the files. So, I was wondering if that could be the reason they don't play.
Also, I had called Pioneer's support on this. They said that if the DVD-R's were recorded in anything other than the two-hour mode they would not play on the player. Is there any way I could find out what mode these discs were recorded in to see if that is the problem?
Thanks a lot for any help you can give.
Kevin
