    What's the +/- for MPEG1 and MPEG2?

Is the quality better with MPEG2?

I'm using TMPGEnc Plus (just bought it) and I'm looking for the best PAL settings...

I'm mainly ripping DVD so I can burn a copy...

    Ripping with SmartRipper
Demuxing? with DVD2AVI (save project) so that I get an d2v-file and a wav-file.
Ecoding the files with TMPGEnc Plus to get an movie.mpg.

I need the a DVD-PAL setup for TMPGEnc which give me a good quality DVD, but I don't know what to use - MPEG1 or MPEG2?
    ...000....000....

SVCD and DVD is MPEG 2

    You want MPEG 2
    If it's wet, drink it
