I just recently used TMPGEnc PLUS 2.521 to encode some video.
Everything seemed fine until scenes with a lot of action showed up. The fluidity of the resulting video seemed to breakdown.
I had encoded utilizing the highest quality setting for motion. I also enabled Detect Scene Change and utilized 10 bits.
Are there any other possibilities as to why this happens? A lot of people rave about this encoder, so I would hate to think that it's not just me.

If you read my post below ("Quick..."), i'll find that i've the same problem.
As you can read, i've PARTIALLY resolved making a 2PassVBR: 8) this prevents from "jumping" some scenes but quick scenes are not fluid too.
Do not vaste your time changing transfer rate, 'cause i had no change.
Did you try with another encoder ? This is my idea now. I'll try your settings too.
What about if you see your movie on computer ? Is it ok?
Is there anybody knows better encoder or better TMPGenc settings ???

Try changing the 'Field Order" setting to the opposite of what you have set now. I had the same problem and this fixed my trouble.

Yes TMPGENC is all it is hyped up to be. If you were to compare it to comparable encoding utilities, you would see the quality is unsurpassed for the cost. Try the suggested fix for your problem, and reverse the field order... it will solve all of your encoding woes, and you will see that TMPGENC is very much worth the hype.
