I've been recording movies from Direct TV that are letterbox but they don't retain the format when recorded using my E50. The picture retains the letterbox shape but does not expand to fill up the screen.
My question is, is there a way to make the e50 record in letterbox format using cable or satellite signals? I know that the manual states that the E50 will retain the letterbox format on letterbox dvd's using the dvd-ram disk. I'm wondering if the cable/satellite signals are true letterbox.![]()
