  1. I have a mpg (DVD standard setting) movie that was recorded with WinTV 350 and I want to convert to DVD. I load into Lab and it splits the file into mpg and mpv. I set up menus and link everything. I select compile and off it goes. I check the VIDEO_TS directory when it is finished and there are only VOB files. No video. I play the first VOB (no IFO files) and find that there is not sound. One setting that I use is to force audio when compiling. I compile the movie to disk because it is larger than a standard DVD. I plan on shrinking after it completes. What am I doing wrong. Lab seems like a great program but I do not know why I am not getting menus or audio in the finished compile.

For starters, the video is inside the .vob. But you sure would have some .ifo (and .bup) files in there too...
In what format is the audio in your source? As you're forcing audio, it has to be in a DVD compliant format (LPCM or AC3 or MP2).
