I am fairly new to burning DVD's from my camcorder. I have a new Sony Vaio computer and use Americal 702244 DVD's. About 2 out of every 4 DVD's get stuck during playback (on all DVD players) usually between 30 and 45 minutes into a 1 hour DVD. I upgraded the firmware on my DW-U12A/dru-500A drive and still the problems persist.
Today I copied three 1-hour mini-dv tapes to my Panasonic standalone DMR-E60recorder and 1 of 3 got stuck at the 45 minute mark.
I was certain that it was my Vaio and now with the Panny having the same problem, I wonder if I need to buy better DVD's.
Can anyone offer any suggestions? This can't be normal can it?
Thanks in advance.
