Trying to capture a tape that definitely has macrovision and the lip synch is off, consistiently, by a second or two. Granted, the tape has some tracking issues, but the synch is OK without going through the DV device. Could this be caused by the bad tape?

Ive seen this problem with vcr`s and its usually cause the linear audio head is out of alignment and not using the hi-fi heads for sound.Could be the tape most likely though.
