  1. I just installed my WinTV pvr 350, and I also installed virtual Dub. When I open it though and select to capture in avi, it says my video card is already in use. I exited every program, ended a whole bunch of different processes and it sill didn't work. When I hit ok it says capture source and then it says select video device. I select my hauppauge pvr 350, and it says error 418: Capture device was not detected. Then it says virtual dub cannot connect to the desired capture driver. Trying all available drivers. Then it says PANIC: Virtual Dub cannot connect to any capture drivers! What do I do. I can't get it to use my wintv pvr 350. Thank you sooo much!!!

  2. I also downloaded freevcr and it gave me the same thing.

You cannot use this device when another video application, such as DVD, video conferencing, video editing, TV viewers, or WebTV for windows is already using it. To use this device for your current application, close the application that is using it. If WebTV is installed and running on your system, pause "WebTV video and data services" on the taskbar tray by right-clicking its icon and choosing "Pause Services."

That is what it said. Can anybody tell me what to do or how to find out what application to close.

Have you installed the latest drivers and the latest version of Virtual Dub?
    Hello.

  4. Yeah I did and it still can't find my capture card. I think it has something to do with virtual dub not supporting WDM. Can someone explain that stuff to me or help me out.

In my opinion, you can try a Conexant driver and see if it works better.
    Hello.
