NERO Recode2 Problem

When using NERO Recode2, if I disable a chapter from play and replace it with a custom black screen, it still plays the entire length of the chapter.

For example, If I copy a DVD that has 10 minutes of garbage in the beginning, I am selecting "disable" chapter in Recode2 and selecting custom black screen. The problem is that when the DVD files are created and burned, I get 10 minutes of black screen play first.

Am I doing something wrong?

You are not doing anything wrong... That is the way Nero Recode 2 works.

It's a shame because I like recode 2 - the deep analysis and the ability to remove titles. However, what good is the removal of titles if you remove a title that is 10 minutes in length and replace it with a black screen - and get the black screen for 10 minutes?

All other packages I have looked at remove all of the content of the title. For example, I backed up Monsters Inc. with CloneDVD2 and selected only the movie and menus. When I play the DVD, the 10 minutes of garbage in the beginning are gone and the movie plays right away. Using the same technique with Recode2, I get 10 minutes of black screen before the movie starts.

The reason I like recode is because of the deep analysis - the quality of the video is much better than CloneDVD2. ShrinkDVD does not allow you to remove titles...

I guess if I want the video quality, I could rip with Recode2 - remove the titles and than run it through CloneDVD2 to remove all the black playing time? This way I preserve the picture with Recode2 (high quality deep analysis) and simply use CloneDVD2 to trim out all the black space that Recode put in.
