I've just started using Datawrite red (v2) 4x-r discs, as they were so cheap. However, on 2 out of 5 burns so far it has frozen at the lead out stage. On one it finally said burn completed at about 40 minutes, then an error that burn failed. However the disc plays fine on all 3 of my standalone players. The second time I stopped the burn at 30 minutes and manually ejected the disc. Again it works fine on all my players.
I am using a Pioneer 106 burner, and Nero 6 copy disc mode. I have previously been using Datawrite +r 2.4x yellow top discs, with no problems. Out of the 40 so back ups I have done, the only coasters were down to user error ie multi-tasking with an underpowered system.
Is this likely to be an issue with all Datawrite Red v2 discs, or just a touchy batch?
They are 1/2 the price of the Datawrite Yellow top + discs, but if this is to be an issue I'll dig deep for the extra cost.
Cheers

It looks like I have a spindle with a mix n match - A420 and A422. As the discs still work, it isn't too much of an issue, although it is frustrating.
