  1. I wanted to get some video from a VCD I have so I used the VCD to MPG article on this site. The only problem is that when you get to the part of extracting the data to filter only M2F2 Mpeg frames you can't type a name (filename.mpg) to save it under. It only allows you to pick the destination where the DAT files will be saved.

Does anyone know how to remedy this, or possibly another way to convert DAT files to MPG?

You should be able to - you have to change the file name to .mpg then save .

  3. It doesn't give you that option in this version, just the destination folder selection. I did find a way however, extract the DAT files, open them in Windows Media Player, and save them as .mpg. Thanks for the help.
