  1. I'm putting together a music video vcd for my mother, but I have just come across an .avi file with what I believe to be MP3 audio. (VirtualDub lists the audio as "Unknown tag 0055", and after searching the forums, I've come to the conclusion it is MP3 audio.) Anyway, here is my question...how can I get the audio to a format that TMPG will accept? I've tried to encode using the MP3 audio, but I end up with a file with no sound at all. I've tried to extract the audio to a wav using VDub, but that has not been successful, either.

I looked through the guides, but I didn't see anything quite like this. Does anybody have any info to offer?

    I'd appreciate it.

Load the video into Gold Wave. If it accepts it, save it as a wave file, then see how TMPGEnc handles it.
    Hello.
