Display time on chapters

Hi
is it possible when watching a (S)VCD on a DVD player to be able to see the time done of the chapters or the reamming time of the chapter ?
My player only display PBC.

not sure what player you have, but one trick that used to work on the pioneer decks when they did that was this:

Put in your disc, make sure the player is stopped, now on the remote or the machine hit the "next" button and this would overide the pbc mode and you were able to get a time display. The downside is if you created any kind of menu structure you would not be able to view it in this mode
