  1. Hey all,

I've recently been having a problem with Pinnacle Impression DVD-Pro. Mind you, the only reason I've used this proggie is the fact of what I am doing, I don't want any menus, I want to drop in the DVD and play instantly. I am capturing and editing in adobe premeire, re-encoding with TMPGEnc, and authoring with DVD-pro. Everything will go according to plan, but then during the mux and file creation process, I get a "mux file access error" message and the program will stop. This also happens on occasion when I am backing up a DVD as well, not just with the capture stuff. I never used to have this problem, and have even tried wiping out the entire computer, and re-installing everything from the OS on up, but still the same thing. Also, the problem is not consistent as to exactly when it happens, sometimes it will be during the mux of 1st vob, or even the image creation. Any ideas? Or better software to use?

PS, I use these DVD's for DJing, so precise chapters are a must, and I can't take the time to go through menus when I'm on the job.

    Thanx ya'll!
Remember when the only way to see a movie uncut was to go to the theatre?

  2. I capture full 720x480 NTSC DVD movies as MPEG-2 with Layer 2 audio, then open the file with DVD Movie Factory 2. I un-check the "create menu" box, then burn my files to a DVD folder on the HD. Then I use Nero 5.5.9.0 to burn to DVD-R.

I've been using this system for a while now and have done over 1,500 discs this way in the last 2 years. DVDMF is fast and rock-solid.
